Cadie is 4 months now! 13.6 lbs & 25 1/2 inches long. She’s tall!

Just visited Washington this past weekend and Cadie met her Grandparents and other friends and family on her father’s side. So fun!

Time flies so quickly. She’s laughing and smiling and getting so tall! Of course, we’re biased, but she’s so cute! You can see her progress at our Flickr galleries (links on the home page).

Just over a week ago, Adam Nollmeyer of Acme Photography came over and did a photo shoot of Cadie. He’s going to have an educational piece on his site on how best to take photos of babies. Man was Cadence sleepy that day! Adam, you’re a trooper. Sleepiness aside, we think he got some amazing shots (a very talented guy). We’ll post a few photos from that day later on.

Cadie caught her first cold last week. And, naturally, her parents caught mini colds too. She totally hates being sick and we feel so bad for her! So we’re just chillin, making sure she’s getting plenty of sleep, and inhaling as much Vicks stuff as we can.

She delivered one of those little nuggets right away. This is the kind of thing everyone should wake up to in the morning.]]>
We’re coming up on week 5 now and Cadie’s starting to show a lot more emotion (besides being pissed off every 5 minutes for nothing). This morning she was popping out the smiles left and right (well, mostly right - for some reason she doesn’t like looking left all that much). I got a chance to pull out the iPhone and snap a pic of the peanut in action. If this is any indication of how this day’s gonna go, I’ll take it!

Looks like her acne is clearing up some too so that’s a welcome added bonus. I’m thinking she’s getting all ready for a photo shoot. Stay tuned, we’ll post the pics as soon as we have ‘em.

Apparently this condition is a result of Mom’s hormones still coursing through Cadie’s system and clears itself up as the hormones are flushed out. Still, it kinda weirds me out but I’ll get over it if she will. Anyway, that’s the scoop today, Cadie’s one month birthday!

I can’t believe it’s been a month.

She passed with flying colors. I guess the pediatrician just wanted to do a weight check, and make sure all was well with her. She gained weight! (That’s a good thing when you’re 2 + weeks old…) She weighed 8 lbs, 1 oz; up from 7 lbs 1 oz a week and a half prior. The doctor asked if Cadie was always mellow. Cadie wasn’t crying at all throughout the entire check up. Right on!

Cadence has a few fans already via the internet. Well at least her father does anyway! Domster 83 wrote a nice little post about this website and the cool onesies that Brent has for sale. Hey, I should buy that iboughtamac mug. How cool!

Well, Cadence is 3 1/2 weeks old now. Holy cow. Can it be we’ll have a 1 month old on our hands by this weekend? Simply amazing.
